Alfred JohnHAMBLYPassed away peacefully at the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro on 29th December, 2025 aged 91 years of Fowey. Beloved partner of Joan, much loved dad of Brian, Carol, Rachel and Mary and a loving grandfather and great-grandfather. Funeral Service will be held at Glynn Valley Crematorium, Bodmin on Friday, 23rd January, 2026 at 12.30pm. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to benefit Fowey Lifeboat may be given by retiring collection.

I met Mr. Hambly in 1983 when I went to Nigeria where my mother taught as an English teacher. I remember him being a gentle sweet and caring gentleman. Also, a very knowledgeable man.Years later, my husband, our 5 yr old Catherine and I, visited him in Fowey. He had not changed. Now, every year at Christmas time we will be missing you, your card and stories you tell. We love you and will be included always in our prayers. Say hello to mom please. Blessed be.
